If you’re trying to keep the boys out of the bars before your big night out, Newcastle’s got plenty of heart-racing activities to keep the lads busy.

Clay Pigeon Shooting Dinnington – This spectacular shooting on the outskirts of Newcastle is the perfect place to experience the rush of clay pigeon shooting, and any activity that involves guns, birds and blowing stuff up is guaranteed to be a hit with your stags.

Paintball Newcastle – Spread across 200 acres of woodland and fields, this purpose-built paintball arena is tailor made for all out war, and with 8 different game zones to blast your way round there’s nowhere better to dish out some pre-marital punishment.

Karting Newcastle – This full throttle 450 meter circuit is tailor made for racing, and with two levels, plus 150 foot bridge to tackle your driving skills will be pushed to the limit.

Drinking districts

Newcastle’s not exactly short of somewhere to get a drink, and whatever your budget there’s something to suit all tastes. From the bustling Bigg Market bars, to the chilled out Quayside clubs Newcastle’s got it all. There’s even drinking districts on the outskirts of the city, so if you really want to make a day of it why not start in Jesmond and stagger your way back to the city centre.

Sam Jacks – Newcastle’s notorious Sam Jacks has everything a stag could ever want including DJs, podium dancers and a mechanical rodeo bull.. only in Newcastle.

Bierkeller – Bringing Bavaria to the streets of Newcastle, this underground German basement bar is guaranteed to get the lads dancing on the tables after sinking a few steins.

Flares – The spirit of disco lives on at Flares, and Newcastle’s favourite themed bar is the perfect place for fancy dress, dad dancing and disco classics.

Bridge Tavern – Described as part gentleman’s club part New York beer bar, the Bridge Tavern brew all their own craft ales on site, and if that doesn’t tempt you in nothing will.

Pick of the Clubs

Tiger Tiger – Spread over three floors with seven different rooms Tiger Tiger is one of Newcatle’s biggest and best nightclubs, and no night on the Toon would be complete without a visit.

Tup Tup Palace – The Palace might be small in size but this chic micro club pulls in all the big names including Kanye West and Snoop Dogg, and anywhere with Snoop’s seal of approval has to be woth a visit right?

Hangover Heaven

Newcastle may be the home Greggs and Newkie Brown, but after a big night there’s only one thing that can save your stags. It looks like gravy, It smells like gravy and tastes like gravy, but Bovril (or Beef tea if you prefer) is guaranteed to get you back on your feet and ready for round two. Ah Bisto!
