City of the month – Leeds

Here at Stagzilla, we love highlighting some of the UK’s best locations for stag party fun. After taking a trip to Newcastle last time, now we’re heading a tiny bit south to Yorkshire to tell you about the best stag fun you can have in Leeds!

Activities

Paintball Brighouse: There are plenty of paintball centres in quick striking distance from the centre of Leeds, but the closest is Go Ballistic’s awesome Brighouse location. There are a wide range of action packed challenges here, taking you from wild west shootouts to futuristic sci-fi scenarios in minutes- its the most fun you can have shooting your mates!

Karting Wakefield: Leeds is the third largest city in the UK- meaning that Wakefield’s indoor karting track is closer to the city centre than Leeds’ own! Karting Nation’s Wakefield indoor track has 400m to race on, so get ready for your driving skills to be pushed beyond their limits in the race of your life!

Clay Pigeon Shooting Otley: The Yorkshire countryside is the perfect location for a spot of clay shooting. A perfect stag activity, there is no better way to let loose than to lock, load and shoot some clays!

Once the adrenaline fuelled day has finished, it’s on to the messy evening- and you’ve just arrived at Yorkshire’s night life capital! There is something for everybody in Leeds, with an awesome mix of bars and clubs to suit everybody’s budget.

Best of the Bars:

Call Lane Social: It may not be the cheapest place to start, but with a great atmosphere, a winning mix of indie and 80’s tunes and even a Hawaiian themed second bar upstairs, no night out in Leeds is complete without a round in here.

Bierkeller: Every town has one, but Leeds’ Bierkeller may be the best. Its best to book in advance, as it feels like the whole town packs in on a weekend for live Oompah bands, cheap steins and lots of dancing on the tables!

Smokestacks: For something a bit different, you could always head to Smokestacks. Designed like a 1920’s speak-easy and with some of the most weird and wonderful drinks you’ll find anywhere in the city, you haven’t experienced a bar like this before.

This is barely scratching the surface of the cracking bars we have in the city- no two are the same and all have a completely unique atmosphere. Now, for the best clubs…

Best of the Clubs:

Control: Regularly voted one of the best clubs in the world and a venue so good, Snoop Dogg has flown over to Leeds to have his birthday party here twice! Control is one of the largest clubs in the North, offering something for everybody who loves hip hop and dance.

02 Academy: The academy may be a music venue earlier in the evening, hosting gigs by the biggest names, but by night it is one of Leeds’ most buzzing clubs. With club nights every weekend and a vibrant atmosphere, no stag will be disappointed here.

Hangover Cures:

Luckily, we also have plenty of great cafés and restaurants spread across the city centre that are the perfect hangover cure. From the continental fast food in Trinity Kitchen, to the boutique delights in the arcades, you won’t be going hungry for long!
